The Drive Too Far
Steve, Rocky and Tim left camp on Sunday to drive back to the West coast, normally about a 2 hour drive. Rocky was sick so Steve started at the wheel. Steve has a little problem staying awake when he drives. Last year he feel asleep and totaled a car. Tim was warned by Dave to keep an eye on Steve. Well about 10 min. into the drive Steve starts falling asleep. Tim notices and yells at him, this happens 2 more times in the next 20 minutes After a discussion with Tim about his driving skills Steve finally decides to let Tim Drive. Rocky is still out cold in the back seat. About 10 minutes into Tim's driving Rocky wakes up and immediately yells out where are you guys going. It seem that Steve went the wrong way on the highway and was heading toward Satatoga. Steve and Tim had driven 2 hours in the wrong direction. So they managed to turn a 2 hours drive into a 6.5 hour drive!

End With a Bang !

On the 18th at Cape Coral Howard announced to his group that he would like to end his round with a bang. He then proceded to hit his 3rd shot sideways and it hit the 2nd floor of the resturant.(Not the bang he had in mind). With a baffled look on his face he asked Ken where he should drop. Ken replied "The Kitchen".

A Great Myron Moment

Myron had just finished the demanding Par 3, 18th at his favorite course Coral Oaks. He had hit a good shot and had the greenie and had made the put for birdie. He was in the next to last group. As Myron watched from the 1st tee Peter's group was playing the 18th. Peter hit it in there about 2 feet and made the putt. There went Myron's greenie and birdie.

Gator Spotting
For those of you who don't know Ken is a Gator expert. The 1st night at camp he was all excited about the drive across Alligator Alley. He told me that he saw a thousand Gators. He also told me several interesting facts about gators I never knew. For example did you know that Gators have no natural enemys. I never expected Gator education at camp.

Pete's One Liners
Pete was playing with Joe at Coral Oaks. On the par 5, 9th Joe hits a high towering tee shot about 100 yards into the trees. As only Pete could he just looked at Joe and said:

"Joe I think it cutting back."

A few years ago a camp I was playing with Peter and Sam H.(I can't spell Sam's last name) For those of you who have had the pleasure to play with Sam it's quit an experience.Sam can make a divot the size of the Panama Canal, his distance club is a 7 iron, and his shots are low duck hooks that go about 3 feet high. We where standing on a tee a camp midway in a round and it was Sam's turn to hit. Pete looked at Sam and with a very stright face says:

"Sam show us the high cut shot"

Sam looked back at Peter and O.K. The result of the shot was another low duck hook. Note: The only way Sam could cut a ball was if he bounced it off a tree.
